Public Engagement Coordinator
As UMD's Public Engagement Coordinator, Cheryl:
- provides administrative and logistical support to students, faculty, staff, and community partners for high-quality public engagement experiences
- contributes to UMD’s efforts to identify, achieve, and maintain higher education best practices in community engagement, such as partnerships, assessment, and reporting
- cultivates relationships, rooted in a reciprocal, mutually beneficial approach, with a wide range of external partners (non-profits, schools, advocacy groups, neighborhood associations, industry, and local and state governmental units) to leverage external connections and resources for the advancement of public engagement efforts at UMD
- coordinates with campus communication partners to help plan and implement UMD’s public engagement communication activities
