Rebecca Ropers has been a scholar and leader for nearly three decades, first at Louisiana State University and, for the last 17 years, at the University of Minnesota. Beginning with her Ph.D. at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, her scholarship and leadership focus on equity-oriented change in higher education with the goal of strengthening inclusive and engaged communities. She has held many leadership roles, including as department chair, journal editor, chair of the faculty governance executive body, and vice provost for faculty and academic affairs. Most recently, she was senior advisor for academic leadership and conflict resolution. As Interim EVCAA, Dr. Ropers works with faculty and staff to implement UMD’s academic mission.
