The University of Minnesota's Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP) offers financial awards to full-time undergraduates for research, scholarly, or creative projects undertaken in partnership with a faculty member.
Deadlines are firm and applications will not be accepted after the deadline.
The next due date is March 16, 2026 for summer and fall 2026 projects
The following deadline is expected to be in October 2026 for spring 2027 projects, please watch this site for exact dates.

UROP Presentation Opportunities including UMD Showcases and the National Conference
Student Poster Printing Funding Request use this form to request funds to print a poster for a presentation.
Student Presentation Funding Request use this form to request funds to attend a conference. This is NOT to be used if you have been accepted to NCUR. If you had previously attended NCUR, additional funding is not available.
Extension - Extensions are given on a one-time basis for up to one semester only. Students may not extend grants beyond the last day of final exams in the semester of graduation.
